gdShutdown2 (Download)
Features at a glance:
How to sign-off using Google Calendar:
Create a Google Calendar entry with the title of your sign-off option [shutdown, standby, hibernate, restart(reboot), logoff(logout) or lock (lock workstation)]. gdShutdown will execute the command the minute the event is scheduled. All other parameters (like end time) don't matter. Schedule your pc's power options with that feature and shutdown your it from everywhere at any given time or even periodically.
Shutdown through Google Calendar is not working, what can I do?
(Important: check this issues first)
1. Check your internet connection. You need it in order for the plugin to read Google Calendar.
2. Check your Google Account name and password entered in the options.
3. There might be a CAPTCHA required. Google wants to make sure that we don't access your Calendar without permission. If that is required, gdShutdown will open an Internet Explorer window (Firefox ore Opera doesn't work here, because we need the CAPTCHA over IE). In that case, just enter your Google Account and password in the field provided by Google. If you missed that window, just go click here (you need this have in Internet Explorer). After you entered your Account name and password once, you won't have to do it anymore on that computer.
4. Check that you used a valuable name as a title. A title is not case-sensitive. (valuable is: shutdown, standby, hibernate, restart, reboot, logout, logoff, lock and lock workstation)
I don't need scheduled shutdown, what should I do?
Leave the account name and the password blank.
